Written information
This information covers the systematic and structured documentation carried out by the school on each student’s achievement in relation to the goals set out. It also serves as a basis for the personal development talks, and must on request be submitted to parents/guardians.
Individual development plan (IUP)
An individual development plan (IUP) is a document created by teacher, student and parents/guardians together during the personal development talk. It should cover priorities and short-term as well as long-term plans and goals regarding the student’s academic achievement and self development.
The document will then provide support in the day-to day work of the pupil together with teachers and the home.
Action programme
An action programme is to be drawn up by the school when a student runs the risk of not fulfilling the requirements of the goals to attain. The action programme is drawn up at a meeting between the parents/guardians and the school.
Grades
Grades are awarded at the upper level of compulsory school as from the autumn term of grade 8.
Written assessment
Students who have not yet fulfilled the requirements of a Pass (G) grade will be issued with a written assessment (not written information). A written assessment should describe the student’s academic achievement and development in relation to the goals to attain. In addition, it should specify the measures taken by the school to help the student attain the goals.
